7. Use a friendly, conversational tone

Space out your voicemail drops over several days and mix them with other channels such as emails or LinkedIn message follow-ups to stay on the prospect’s radar without being pushy. 

Change the messaging slightly with each follow-up to add new value or insights, making it clear why calling back is worth their time.

10. Test and optimize your voicemail strategy

Record multiple versions of your message and A/B test them to see which gets the highest response rates. 

Track metrics such as –

  • Callback percentage
  • Response type (call, text, email)
